That’s exactly how Art planned his big moment with Tanya. With the help of Tanya’s sister, Tenny, the stage was set for a perfect evening at Kualoa Ranch’s Secret Island, one of Oahu’s most iconic and private backdrops for a proposal.
The day began with a private boat ride across the fishponds—already romantic enough on its own. Tanya thought they were simply taking a tour, but as the boat docked at Secret Island, Art had a much bigger plan in mind. As the sun dipped lower over the Koolau Mountains, he got down on one knee and asked Tanya to marry him. Her reaction? Pure joy, laughter, and tears.
