Frequently Asked Questions – Wedding Photography in Oahu, Hawaii

Planning a wedding can come with a long list of questions—especially when you're booking vendors from across the ocean. We’ve compiled some of the most common questions we receive from couples planning their weddings in Hawaii. Whether you’re getting married on Oahu or hosting a destination wedding across the islands, this guide will help you get to know our process a little better.

Where are you based?

We’re proudly based on the island of Oahu and have been part of Hawaii’s wedding community since 2018. Most of our weddings take place across Oahu, from the North Shore to Waikiki, but we’re always ready for an adventure.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Do you travel to the other Hawaiian islands?

Yes! We’re happy to travel to Maui, Kauai, or the Big Island for your wedding day. A flat inter-island travel fee of $500 will be added to the final invoice to cover airfare, transportation, and accommodations. We’ll handle the logistics so you can focus on getting married in paradise.

How many photos do you deliver?

We typically deliver around 75 edited images per hour of booked photography coverage. Every wedding is different, but we always aim to include a rich mix of storytelling moments—everything from quiet in-between glances to your biggest celebration highlights.

If you'd like to receive all the photos from your session or event, we offer an option to purchase the entire gallery at a discounted rate.

What is your photography style?

Our approach is rooted in documentary-style storytelling. We aim to capture your day naturally as it unfolds, with all its real moments, emotions, and subtle details. While we offer gentle direction during portraits or family formals, we prefer an authentic, candid look—photos that feel like you.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

How are images delivered, and when can we expect them?

You’ll receive a blog post of highlight images within 1 week of your wedding—perfect for sharing with friends and family while the memories are still fresh. Your full online gallery will be delivered about 4–5 weeks after your wedding date or from when your final payment is received. From there, you can download, share, and order prints with ease.

Can we print our photos anywhere?

Absolutely. Your final gallery comes with high-resolution files and full print rights, so you can print your wedding photos wherever you like. We also offer premium prints and albums through our professional lab for those who want museum-quality keepsakes.

Do you offer video as well?

While our studio specializes in photography, we sometimes offer both photo and video services for your day. We also collaborate with trusted videographers here on Oahu and across Hawaii. If you're looking for both services, let us know what you need and we’re happy to provide a referral or help you coordinate a package.

What’s required to book our date?

To secure your wedding date, we require a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer. The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before your event date. Once your contract is signed and deposit received, your date is officially locked in.

Do you photograph elopements and intimate weddings?

Yes, we love them. Whether you’re planning a two-person elopement on a hidden Oahu beach or an intimate gathering with just a few loved ones, we offer flexible elopement and micro-wedding packages to fit your plans. Reach out for our current availability and pricing.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

What’s the best time for wedding photos in Hawaii?

Sunset is always golden—literally. We typically recommend planning portraits in the hour before sunset for the softest, most flattering natural light. If your ceremony is earlier in the day, we’ll help build a photography timeline that still gives you dreamy, editorial-style lighting.

Still have questions?

We’re always happy to chat more and help you feel confident in your wedding photography experience. Whether you’re just starting to plan or you’re finalizing details, we’re here to support your vision with care and creativity.
